Barbara Howard joins a panel for "The Audience for Architectural History in the 21st Century" on Thursday, April 19. Her paper, "The Federal Preservation Program: Balancing Populism and Academia," explains how architectural history documentation within the federal preservation program has slowly gravitated from the program's populist foundation toward that of academia, creating a divide within the preservation field.
